Rich green color for a well-used lawn

Premier Pro offers rich green color and a dense lawn for sunny, active outdoor spaces. Its spreading Bermuda growth supports warm-season wear recovery, with regular mowing to keep a tidy finish.

What makes Premier Pro Bermuda different?

Premier Pro is Premier bermudagrass marketed as PremierPRO, identified by the Virginia Crop Improvement Association. This named, vegetatively propagated cultivar is not a seed blend. The variety description records a darker green leaf than its suspected parent, Tifgreen. For home lawns, its appeal is rich color and Bermuda’s ability to spread during active growth.

Living with this lawn in the Carolinas

Plan for full sun, frequent summer mowing and brown winter dormancy. NC State recommends roughly 1–2 inches with a rotary mower, or ¾–1 inch with a reel mower on a level surface. Match the height to the supplied cultivar and avoid scalping. Established Bermuda tolerates use and repairs actively in warm weather; keep heavy traffic off new sod until rooted.

New sod needs prompt watering and moist soil beneath the pieces while roots grow. As the sod anchors, water less often and more deeply. Our care guide explains the checks rather than prescribing one timer setting for every yard.
